No Greater Satisfaction

Than A Job Well Done

Greg Turpin is a farmer at heart. Growing up in Gerty, OK Greg began farming with his father and grandfather in the Oklahoma sand hills. Greg would go on to study a solution to the erosion issues on his home farm land while he obtained Bachelors & Masters degrees in Agronomy from Oklahoma State University.

Following his studies, Greg worked for the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture as an Environmental Specialist for 18 years. Through his work, he saw the many needs of several industries: ineffective systems costing cities double their budget, farmers failing to pass regulation tests regularly, companies unknowingly increasing the pollution of our local environment, and inefficient systems across the board causing problems for even the simplest operations. As a father and as a farmer, he’s seen the changes to our environment over time. You used to be able to drink water right out of the creek. He would never let his kids do that today.

From the time he noticed the sand hills eroding as a kid to today, Greg has always been an environmental pioneer and an early adopter. He set out to make a plan to meet these needs of cities, companies, farmers and the environment alike. He saw a way to clean up common practices in a way that would make his clients more effective, save them money, and remove the constant worry about their systems failing or not meeting regulations. On top of everything, he saw an opportunity to protect the environment and even implement beneficial reuse.

In 2010, Sandyland became that solution. Since then, it has embodied Greg’s humble background of honesty, fairness, and simplicity to serve both lagoon owners and the future heirs of this land: our children and grandchildren.
